Today we got in touch with Birgitta Hedin Curtin from the Burren Smokehouse to tell us a little more about her company and all the delicious smoked fish that they produce.

Q. Simply…… Why Organics? 

A. We source Irish Organic Salmon because it is some of the Best Salmon that we can get hold of. It is produced in an ethical and sustainable way.

Q. How did you become involved in Organics in Ireland?

A We started sourcing Irish Organic Salmon 2002 when we realised that the product was available.

Q. What is the biggest myth about Organics that you have debunked!? 

A. Some people think that Organic is the same as wild.

Q. When people meet you at NOFF they will choose you because……..

A. We source 100% Irish Fish and the Irish Organic Salmon is so nutritious with high in Omega 3 oils ( 2.95g / 100g compared with non organic 0,2g/100g) and a great source of protein.Our Burren Smoked Irish Organic Salmon has won highest Awards in Great Taste Awards 3 x 3-star – in 50 Best of 10,000 products.

A.We are 25 years in business this year.
